Peter Brock - the king of Mount Panorama.
This motor legend is a nine-time winner of Australia's most prestigious racing event, the Bathurst 1000. Double points to all racers that conquer the mountain.
He represented a shining example that people can achieve their dreams no matter what their material circumstance and upbringing. There are no barriers except the limitations we place on ourselves. He grew up in a small country town with no special benefits and proceeded to live his dreams.
His death, on 8th September 2006 shocked our nation. Peter Brock was killed in a rally crash in Western Australia. His car, competing in the Targa West rally, crashed into a tree in John Forrest National Park, east of Perth, Western Australia, killing Brock and injuring his co-driver Mick Hone.
