Learn about RNR
RACE 'N' RUMBLE
This is not that hard to learn, and lots of fun.
Remember you are a Team and working together will give you the best results.
The idea is to have the racer from your team cross the finish line first.
The Blocker assists his Racer by hindering the progress of racers and blockers on the opposing team/s.
Pair off in teams of two ~ 1 racer, 1 blocker. You can pair with anyone you wish, does not have to be from the same zone team as yourself. Choose the team member with the best racing skills as the racer and the other becomes the blocker, racing skills dont come into that latter role.
2v2 or 2v2v2 formats will be used for these tournaments when RnR are set.
The aim for the racer is simple.. try to finish the race first, keep out of the way of the blockers as much as you can to avoid getting hit or stopped by them, a racers time is irrelevant in an RnR.
The blockers have free-roam, and are able to go to any point on the track to give them the upper hand in an attempt to hinder a racer’s finish. Their aim is to either block another team's blocker to free up their teammate so he/she can proceed, or block another racer to prevent him/her from making progress in the race. You need to try and out-maneuver and stop the progressive of the opposing team/s. One trick learnt in the rumbles is to place your truck in the line of another and hit "H" just before the point of impact, to a racer it is like hitting a brick wall, never try to take the opposing players out by a head-on full speed hit.
Hosts activate teams in these tournaments. “Ctrl-Alt-T"
Teams must pair up using the same trucks, no add-on trucks allowed.
An ideal would be to have a headset, you can then arrange a voice chat although this is not necessary. It would be very handy when you wish to direct your blocker to a certain point or request that they take out a specific person, easily arranged with voice chat.
Communication becomes vital on the very last lap of a close race. Racers will want to direct their blocker to a certain point or have them try and take out another close racer or blocker to enable their team a chance at winning.
After the first racer finishes the race and the "All trucks on final lap" message appears" the blockers have to complete a single lap, going thru all the checkpoints to allow the game to end.
Garage sets for blockers vary between 800 - 1400 m/s for quickness and power. Automatic gears are recommended for both racers and blockers as speed is not an issue as such, continual movement is the key.
Good luck and have fun!
